The Hummingbird Bakery is one of London's iconic bakeries, selling American baked treats in Soho, The City, Notting Hill, and South Kensington.
Hummingbird is renowned for providing 'feel-good' moments, through its quality cakes, fun shops and bestselling cookbook.
An e-commerce solution was needed to cater for rising demand. An online ordering system, for deliveries or collection, was developed, with an intuitive navigation and site design, and a business reporting function.
The website's specification was demanding and needed a bespoke solution to cater for the variety of toppings and product options. One of the challenges was to both understand and advise on the impact the website would have on company operations, and what changes were needed to accommodate it.
We involved staff throughout the process to get an in-depth understanding of the bakery. Having listened to the thoughts and feedback, we realised several key development points and were able to integrate necessary requirements into web solutions.
At the end of the project we produced a website that sits alone in its market for both flexibility, bespoke features, and reporting. The website is providing The Hummingbird Bakery with a solid platform for growth and we continue to manage its design and development.
